Double Pounder
I bring you the second session
Posted by "Pompous" Cometgreen on August 24, 2008 at 11:23 pm
Here is another Sunday Broadcast. I would inform you that I recorded this immediately after doing my previous broadcast, but I explain that in the very beginning. So if you listen to it, you'll simply be getting the same information twice!
Weird, wild stuff. Of course, to get you interested in listening to it, I will have to accept this redundancy. In this broadcast, I start by taking a drunken look at the recent works of the LEGO Bluntman, nowadays known simply as blunty. You can only imagine where the discussion goes by the eighteen minute mark. Here's a hint: hot dogs. View Comments (0)
The Sunday Broadcast from DRAGOON
The Sunday Broadcast from Dragoon
Posted by Dragoon on August 17, 2008 at 12:25 am
Hello friends. This is Dragoon, and I'm here in Beijing to live-blog the Olympics for The Citizens of Awesome. Unfortunately, I forgot my glasses at home and thus I can't see anything that's happening. I think Michael Phelps has won 8 marathons, or something like that.
So instead, I've decided to steal the novel idea of doing one of my Sunday Broadcasts. Comet and I intend to take turns offering a new broadcast every week from now on. I think our contrasting styles could possibly keep things interesting, although it's a stretch! And if you're wondering whose film I am either lambasting or lauding with praise, the answer is... NOT APPLICABLE. I decided to take the Sunday Broadcast in a non-brickfilmcentric direction for the first time. View Comments (1)
The Reawakening
The Sunday Broadcast from Dragoon
Posted by "Pompous" Cometgreen on August 10, 2008 at 2:52 am
In an effort to resurrect this site, I have ventured forth to continue Dragoon's famous Sunday broadcasts. The only difference being that I'm not Dragoon, and the broadcast is infused with a higher blood alcohol level.
Just listen to it, you'll understand. This week I review Smeagol's "Unrenewable" brickfilm, because I had no other ideas. The premise is that you watch the film along with the broadcast so you can understand my comments. To facilitate this process, I'll make a youtube version with Unrenewable playing at the appropriate times. But for those brave souls who can press play fast enough, enjoy. And to save you guys a few keystrokes: I know, I'm a huge dick. View Comments (4)

How many times can I click "Random Article" on Wikipedia before I find something interesting?
Important Questions Answered
Posted by Dragoon on August 7, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Alright, I'm on Wikipedia. My objective is to click Random Article until I find something that I could imagine anyone actually caring about.
6:15 PM I've completed my first clicking of Random Article. The result was "Shillingstone Quarry," a one line article about a "Geological Site of Special Scientific Interest" in Dorset, England. It is 8.13 hectares, in case you were wondering. Let us continue... 6:19 PM Alright, after only three clicks, I would say that my mission was accomplished. On the second click I got an article about US Ranger body armor, which seemed at first like it was interesting, but upon actually reading it I learned that it in fact wasn't. But one more click brought me to "Treatment of Human Head Lice," an article complete with a lengthy list of lice treatments, treatments that should be avoided at all costs, and this painting. Join me next time for another exciting episode of "How many times can I click 'Random Article' on Wikipedia before I find something interesting!" And remember, it is not recommended that children's heads be shaved for prevention or control of lice due to the psychological damage children might experience! View Comments (0)
A Year+ Old
We forget our own birthday
Posted by "Pompous" Cometgreen on August 4, 2008 at 11:10 am
More than a year ago today, the Citizens of Awesome came into being and posted our groundbreaking expose of the fall of the 4um. We promised to bring you joys and thrills and oil spills, and I like to think we delivered, regardless of reality.
So happy birthday to us. What do we have planned for the 2008-2009 season? Let me whet your appetite:
Keep checking back. It's going to be a fun year. Unless we don't feel like it. View Comments (0)
